Bookings, trust and safety mechanisms are built into the Pooly app. Below are the trust & safety principles we want every trip to start from.
If something feels unsafe, do not travel. In an emergency, call 111. For non-urgent Pooly safety concerns, contact us through the app or email support@pooly.nz.
Before you travel
- Check the route, date, time, pick-up point, drop-off point and cost before confirming.
- Check other users’ ratings and reviews on their profile.
- Share your plans with someone you trust when meeting a new driver or passenger.
For drivers
- Drive to the conditions and follow all road rules.
- Keep your licence, vehicle, WOF, registration and insurance suitable for the trip.
- Be clear about luggage space, stops, timing and expectations before departure.
For passengers
- Arrive on time and confirm the vehicle and driver before getting in.
- Respect the driver, other passengers, vehicle rules and agreed route.
- Do not pressure a driver to make unsafe stops or changes.
For everyone
- Treat people with respect and avoid discriminatory, threatening or unsafe behaviour.
- Keep communication clear and practical. Only message within the Pooly app.
- Report serious concerns so Pooly can review them.
